BALTANY Team is delighted that you should have chosen a model from our watch collection.
While your new watch has undergone rigorous inspection and testing before being released for sale, as a precision timepiece, to ensure its perfect operation, we recommend that you follow the suggestions provided in the following instructions.
WATCH CARE & PRECAUTIONS
•Magnetic fields:
Avoid placing your watch in the vicinity of magnetic fields, such as around loudspeakers, mobile phones, computers, or refrigerators and other electromagnetic devices.Strong magnetic fields may magnetize your watch and affect the accuracy of its timing.
•Shocks:
Avoid thermal or other shocks as it may harm your watch.
•Chemical products:
Avoid all direct contact with solvents, adhesives, paints, cleaning products, perfumes, cosmetics, etc., as they may damage the watch chain, case or waterproof gasket.
•Steam:
Do not wear the watch in a hot bath or sauna. The waterproof performance of the watch cannot prevent water vapor.
•Temperatures:
Avoid exposing your watch to sudden temperature changes (For example, exposure to sunlight followed by immersion in cold water) or extreme temperatures [over 60°C (140°F) or below 0°C (32°F)].
•Salt-water:
Always rinse your watch in fresh water and then dried completely After being worn in the sea.
•Cleaning:
Use a toothbrush and fresh water to clean metal bracelets and water-resistant cases and a soft cloth to dry off afterwards.
•Periodic inspection:
It is recommended to maintain the mechanical movement every 2-3 years and check the waterproof sealing rubber ring.
•Date setting:
The date should not be corrected between 22:00 and 02:00, >The date should not be corrected between 22:00 and 02:00, because the watch gear has been adjusted by itself to change the date.
•Setting:
Do not operate the buttons or crown underwater, always push in and lock the crown(screw-down crown) after setting.
•Storage:
The watch should be placed in a dry environment when not in use. It is recommended to place the mechanical watch in a self-winding watch box.
Bronze watches:
Bronze material has the characteristics of oxidation discoloration, new bronze watches are gold, then the phenomenon of shell mottling, uneven color, with the passage of time will be further oxidation, due to the wearer's environment and wearing habits are different, the bronze watch surface oxidation layer ultimately presents a different effect.
Calibration of quartz watches:
Variance for second hand alignment for hand assembled quartz watches is completely normal, It is due to the play required for proper working of the movement gear train, and has absolutely nothing to do with timekeeping precision.
Quartz watch battery life:
Different BALTANY quartz watches have different battery lifespans depending on the type of movement, and frequent use of special functions (such as the stopwatch timer on chronograph models) may shorten battery life.
Winding
BALTANY watch with an automatic winding movement obtains the power to wind itself by the movement of your wrist.BALTANY automatic mechanical watches generally have a power reserve of several tens of hours (Depending on the model). It is only necessary to wind it manually if your watch has not been worn for one or more days.
For a hand-winding mechanical watch, it needs needs to be wound regularly to replenish its power.
Ordinary crown: Turn the crown clockwise in the initial position of the crown to wind the watch
Screw-in crown:Unscrew the crown counterclockwise until the crown is completely released by the spring, then turn the crown clockwise to wind the watch.
Screw down crown
With the exception of hand-wound mechanical watches, most of BALTANY watches use a screw-down crown. the screw down crown features a mechanism that can securely lock the crown when it is not being operated in order to prevent any operational errors and to improve its water resistant performance.
This means that before making any adjustments, it is necessary to unscrew the crown by turning it anticlockwise. The crown will then be released by a spring. After completing all settings, push the crown back and screw it back in gently in order to preserve your watch`s water-resistance.
WATER RESISTANCE
Although your watch has been through vigorous pressure testing,The water resistance of watches is rated based on laboratory pressure tests comparable to a swimmer or diver sitting still at that pressure level. Many variables can affect the water resistance of your watch. For instance, arm movements during swimming and the sudden impact of diving and water sports will drastically increase the pressure the watch is under.
For these reasons, the water resistance rating of your watch (as shown) should only ever be considered a guideline.
The water resistance of a watch cannot permanently be guaranteed. It may be affected by aging of waterproof components or by accidental shock to the crown.

USING THE ROTATING BEZEL
To check the elapsed time
1)Align the zero mark “▼” of the rotating bezel with the position of the minute hand.
2)Read the scale above the rotating bezel, to which the minute hand points so as to figure out the elapsed time. As shown in the illustration, the elapsed time is 10 minutes.
To check the remaining time
1)Set the “▼” mark to the scheduled time.
